Back to the Eisenhower years of the 1950’s with the Pazinski family. This warm and funny play is filled with the humanity of real people with real problems. As the four teenage kids question family values, coming of age, and the Roman Catholic Church, the parents try to guide and encourage while navigating their own issues. As we literally observe life, Over the Tavern, the play engages us because it portrays life with accuracy, affection and a resistance to overdoing sentimentality. A wonderfully affirming way to end our season. San Diego Premiere!
