Greetings Theatre School Parents & Students,
I want to take this moment to say how thrilled I am to be working with all your amazing children as the new theatre school director! I look forward to all your feedback so we can make this program the most fun and educational experience ever! I want to personally invite your children to attend some of our new classes. Our Winter Session runs from January 28 –March 10, 2012 every Saturday. As always, the fee includes one child's ticket to a Theatre School production. Something new you might enjoy is that kids can take more than one class at a time! Please check out the brief descriptions below:
Class One: Stage Basics (3rd -8th Grade)- 9:40am-11am
From the audition to performance, this class covers everything you need to know about a stage production. You will learn audition, acting, rehearsal basics, along with theatre etiquette and appreciation, performing a mini-production at the end of class!

Class Two: Creative Storytelling (3rd -6th Grade)- 11:10am-12:30pm
Theatre is storytelling through movement and dialogue. The focus of this class will be to work through a full story, involving physical and vocal development, movement, imagination and improvisational exercises as well as team building. Each student will participate in the re-telling of a story through dramatic interpretation. Memorization of lines may be necessary for this class.

Class Three: Shakespeare-ience (5th -12th Grade)*- 12:30pm-1:50pm
Want to perfect your Much Ado audition and get a leg up on the competition? Or just learn how to perform Shakespeare? For an in-depth and rewarding experience take NCRT Shakespeare Experience!! We will work on monologues scenes from Shakespeare's plays using movement, character development and advanced acting methods. Some experience with theatre and Shakespeare is recommended. (Much Ado director will visit class to see you in action!)

Class Four: Audition Workshop(7th -12th Grade)~ 1:50pm-3:10pm
What is a classical monologue? Where do I find the right one for me? How long should a contemporary monologue be? How do I prepare? What are they looking for? Where can I get individual help with my audition? The Theatre School @ NCRT Audition Workshop will give you the tools to audition with confidence whether for the school play, or for your dream college! In this 7 week class, taught by theatre professionals, will help you put together the elements you will need for your audition and give you the skills and practice you need to prepare for the audition and interview process.

Winter Session: January 28 –March 10, 2012
Classes are held on Saturdays and include 7 classes per session. Fees include one free child's ticket to the current Theatre School production. All classes may be repeated. For information on our refund policy, please click here.
Please note – It is not always possible for friends and siblings to be in the same group/class. We try to accommodate as best as possible, but it is not always possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Early/Late Policy – Please note that if parents have NOT signed up for after-care (when available) that a late charge of $15 will be applied for every fifteen minutes, or portion thereof, that parent is late picking up your child from rehearsals, classes or workshops.
