Officers


Dr. Allen Moffson has lived in San Diego since 1968 moving to Solana Beach in 1977. With his own practice, Dr. Moffson works as a dentist and periodontist. He received his D.M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and received a certificate to specialize in periodontics while completing his residency at New York University. He became a trustee for North Coast Repertory Theatre in 2003. Dr. Moffson is married to Judy, has three children and three granddaughters.

Jay Sarno has been a resident of San Diego County since 1979 and is the co-owner of Crescent Design, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of factory automation and test equipment. Prior to that, Jay was President of Cal Omega, a manufacturer of casino gaming equipment. He was a member of the North Coast Repertory Theatre Board of Trustees from 1984 through 1989 and served as President for three years. He re-joined the board in 2002. Jay is also involved with Operation Lifesaver, Inc. and the Western Pacific Railroad Museum and is a supporter of many local theatres.

Hannah Step has lived in San Diego County for seven years. She is a retired Family Therapist/Educator and received her B.S. degree from Nebraska University and her M.S. from Butler University. Hannah joined the North Coast Repertory Theatre Board of Trustees in 2000. She has been married to her husband Gene for 51 years and has three sons and five grandchildren.

William Woolson has resided in San Diego County for 35 years and retired from SAIC as VP for IT Strategy.  Bill received his BS in 1966 and his Ph.D. in 1970 at Pennsylvania State University. He began his involvement at NCRT as an audience member in the 1990’s before joining the Board of Trustees.

Tom Nickols relocated to San Diego from Orange County in 1989. For 18 years, Tom owned and managed a metal components manufacturing company in the Los Angeles area until 1997. In the years prior to that he held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Sunbeam Corp, Schick Inc. and McGraw Edison Co. Currently, Tom devotes time to SCORE, a group of retired executives that assist small businesses in the San Diego area. Having also served on the Board of the Fairbanks Ranch Owners Association for four years, he has served two years as President. Tom was also an active member of the Board of the International Industry Association of his business.

Holly has been a Solana Beach resident for 13 years. She graduated from Scripps College with a degree in Theatre Arts and Humanities. Though her business career with Marsh & McLennan Companies, in Washington DC, Tulsa and Los Angeles took her in a different direction, she has remained a strong advocate of the arts and community services. She is currently Executive Director of the Unemployment Services Trust and sits on the Boards of the CAN Insurance Corporation, and the AHA Certification Center. She is a past Board member of the AACN Certification Corporation and the Credentialing & Competence Institute.

Originally from Ohio, Stella and her husband spent time in Chicago (where she raised three children) and relocated to Pittsburgh when her husband was promoted to the Vice President of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Stella was a Real Estate Broker in PA, working exclusively with corporate transferees. At that time, she also served as President of the Home Owners Association.

The Bologs moved to CA in 1979, and settled in Isla Verde, in Solana Beach, in June of 1991. Stella became a Director, then Vice President of Isla Verde’s HOA. Stella earned her California Real Estate Brokers license, in 1982, and dabbled in commercial real estate for several years. Eventually, she became the Owner/Operator of a successful Steel Warehouse business. Stella and her daughters operated the only all-woman Steel Corp. in California for ten years. The business was sold in January, 2007.

Stella has always been interested in the theater. She and her husband became season ticket holders for North Coast Rep when they moved to Solana Beach. She has watched it grow into the fine theater it is today, and looks forward to contributing to its growth.

Shelia Chue serves as the Relationship Manager for US Bank’s Private Client Group in Fairbanks Ranch.  Ms. Chue works exclusively with affluent individuals to provide personalized private banking and customized credit services. She offers clients comprehensive banking expertise, combined with a dedication to providing the highest level of service.

Ms. Chue has over 20 years of professional experience delivering Private Bank services. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, she served as the Manager of Union Bank of California’s Priority Banking in downtown San Diego. In this role she was responsible for developing a team of bankers to deliver services customized to the needs of high net worth clients.

A graduate of San Diego State University, Ms. Chue has a degree in Accounting and Business Management.  Ms. Chue currently serves on the Board of the North Coast Repertory Theatre and SDSU Bridges. She is a Lead San Diego graduate and an active volunteer with Helen Woodward Animal Center and Beach & Country Guild for United Cerebral Palsy.

In recent past, Ms. Chue served on the Board of the San Diego Opera, San Diego Chapter of March of Dimes and San Diego Cares.

Marion Dodson has lived in Solana Beach for 33 years. She currently runs Dodson Property Management and serves as Secretary for LEDO Financial, the family owned business. Marion spent 28 years in public service as an elected official serving on the School Board for the Solana Beach School District (1973 - 1986) and as Mayor and Council Member of the City of Solana Beach (1986 - 2000). Marion has served on the Board of Trustees for North Coast Repertory Theatre for over 10 years - some of which she served as President.

Ira Epstein has lived in the San Diego area on a permanent basis for 8 years; prior to that he lived in the area part time for 20 years. Ira is a semi-retired Attorney of Counsel to Greenberg-Taurig, a 1,300-attorney international firm. He earned his J.D. in 1956 in Nebraska. Ira joined the Board of Trustees for North Coast Repertory Theatre six years ago and also serves on the board for the San Dieguito Planning Group and supports the Junior Symphony and the Old Globe. Ira and his wife Noddy have been married for over 48 years and have three children and six grandchildren.

Lisa Lipton relocated to San Diego in September 1999 from Boston where she and her family lived for about 25 years. She is Chairman of the San Diego Chapter and on the National Board of The American Institute of Wine & Food, a non-profit educational organization founded by Julia Child, Robert Mondavi, and others. In Boston, Lisa practiced law for 15 years and was Associate General Counsel of a national retailer and also served as President of New England Corporate Counsel Association. She is a 1976 graduate of Mont Holyoke College, received her J.D. from Suffolk University, and is a member of the Massachusetts and New York Bars. Lisa has been married to Dr. Stuart Lipton for 27 years and they have two children.

Marilyn Tedesco is the Founder and President of Training One – Consultants to Management, a management consulting firm.  She has served on North Coast Repertory Theatre’s Board for ten years, including three years as President. During her presidency, she worked intensively to strengthen our organization and expand outreach. Ms. Tedesco obtained her undergraduate degree from The College of New Jersey, and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. She also serves on the Guillain Barre Syndrome International Board of Trustees and has served on the Boards of such organizations as the American Red Cross, Community Concert Organization, The Whittier Institute for Diabetes and several professional organizations. She resides in Rancho Santa Fe with her husband, Lou.

Bobbi Warren is a native New Yorker, who has lived part time in RSF with her husband Bill for 11 years. They have just sold their East Coast home to live permanently in RSF. Bobbi also serves on the board of the Burnham Institute for Medical Research in La Jolla, as well as the Lymphoma Research Foundation in New York City.

She taught music and drama at private schools on the East and West Coast for fourteen years. Following that, she worked in advertising and public relations for Dupont.Between them, Bobbi and Bill have seven children and eleven grandchildren.

Mary M. Yang is Founder and President of KAIROS Scientific Inc., a technology company whose innovations have been recognized by the awarding of over 26 government grants and contracts. She earned her B.S. from UC Berkeley (1984) and her Ph.D. from Princeton (1988).  She has also held positions at the ETH in Switzerland, Caltech, MIT, NASA's Ames Research Center and the Jet Propulsion Lab. In 1998, she was nominated for NASA's Woman-Owned Subcontractor of the Year. She was raised in multiple countries, speaks Mandarin, and is a member of Environmental Entrepreneurs, an NRDC association of business people who believe in protecting the environment while building economic prosperity.

Jeff Kane is currently President of Continental Pacific Development Company. Mr. Kane has been involved in Commercial Real Estate Development and Multi-Family Housing for more than 27 years. Prior to forming Continental Pacific Development Company, Mr. Kane was in senior management of the Lomas Santa Fe Companies. Mr. Kane is currently serving a second, five-year term as treasurer of SANCAL (San Diego Capital Asset Leasing Corporation), which he was appointed to by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. Mr. Kane joined the board of North Coast Repertory Theatre in 1987 and has served as Board President for five years.
